Cosmetic bonding is also known as composite bonding and is a practical and economical solution for repairing minor damage to smaller areas of teeth or creating an improved cosmetic appearance.

When would cosmetic bonding be used?

It can be used when a tooth is chipped, rotated or when there are small gaps between your teeth. It can also be used in combination with orthodontic treatment and whitening to give you the perfect smile.

What does the bonding process involve?

A shade of white resin is carefully selected to match the existing colour of your teeth. The surface of the tooth is then prepared usually without the need of anaesthetic. In many instances no drilling is required at all. Tooth-coloured composite resin is then applied and smoothed to the required shape and set with a curing laser light. The new tooth surface is then polished to give a smooth appearance.
