Practice Principal Dr Imran Nasser won the 2021 UK Aesthetic Dentistry Award in the category of Multiple Implants.

Here we ask him a little bit about the award and what it means to him.

How did it feel to be shortlisted for this award?

When I found out I had been shortlisted for this award I was completely overwhelmed. You always try your absolute best for all of your patients and it was the icing on the cake when I received the notification. The Aesthetic Dentistry Awards have always been recognised as the ultimate award as there is an expert judging panel and a rigorous process.

Where was the awards ceremony?

The ceremony was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. A beautiful venue and a humbling evening surrounded by some incredible clinicians I have always inspired by and looked up to.

How did it feel to actually win the award?

To be honest, in the immediate aftermath I was completely in shock. There were so many great clinicians shortlisted and I could not believe my luck. When it sank in I was incredibly proud of the achievements of our team. For some time, we have been providing exceptional care to our patients and this was just wonderful recognition of our endeavours. It motivates you to go further and further and push the boundaries of clinical care to the very top.

Whilst I collect the award and get all the recognition, none of this would be possible without my team around me.

What is the plan for 2022?

2022 plans to be a very exciting year. On a personal front, I am getting increasingly involved in teaching dentists in the field of implantology. I will be involved in a handful of teaching programmes and also launching my own course in London in the Summer.

On a practice front, there will be exciting developments at Cheltenham & Cotswold Dental with further improvements to the facilities, further investment in new technology and potential expansion. I cannot wait to see how the next 12 months unfold.
